Pity Newman couldn’t effect it.My area (semi-rural Aldinga Beach in SA) currently has large potholes that initially appeared after big rains, & reappear about a week after initial fix. We need an effective pothole SWAT squad!
But I had no idea fixing potholes was so hard - except in Qld (& maybe WA). Made this article worth reading, just to be a bit more informed on the issue/s.

A prominent Brisbane private school is reviewing how it vets guest speakers after an evangelical ministry trainee told year 7 and 8 students, during a chapel service, that they would go to hell if they were gay.
The trainee, from St Lucia Bible Church, spoke at St Peters Lutheran College in Indooroopilly. Head of college Tim Kotzur said the college regretted the comments and that, as a Lutheran school, it believes each person's dignity is not conditional on their sexuality.
The episode is a reminder of what religious instruction can carry into schools — including faith-based colleges that draw public funding — and of how damaging homophobic messaging can reach children under the banner of chapel and pastoral care.

Finally, logic.
100,000 more luxury cars doesn't make any one of those luxury cars more affordable just because there are more of them to sell.
Same, too, with housing. An inventory of expensive homes is still just as unaffordable.
