This morning I went to see the rare Western Swamphen in my Backyard again.
In the Netherlands, this is a very rare bird. The nearest breeding grounds are Spain and France.
It's been here for 44 days now.
What a beautiful bird with those purple-blue feathers and its red beak, head shield, and legs.It really stands out among the black coots.
