#TIL When I explicitly associate a label with an input, it helps the browser generate an Accessibility Tree with the right name for the input, even if the input does not have a name on its own. I always did it but never understood this.

A small but helpful change I just made to the #PracticalA11y course website is replacing the typical “Skip to main content” skip link with two more helpful ones:

• Skip to video
• Skip to transcript

If you navigate using a keyboard, you can more quickly skip to the chapter format that you prefer. ⏬

I used to cringe every time I watched myself speak on camera. But now I'm watching the latest video I released from my course and I can't stop smiling throughout it. 🥹

Hard work does pay off. 🫶🏻
