    Those of you who follow me for #Postges things know that in my work at Microsoft I spend the bulk of my ⏰ working w/ the #PostgreSQL #opensource community.

    But hey, lots of customers run on Azure Database for PostgreSQL & lots of my teammates work on it, so I care about Postgres on Azure too 🐘☁️

    В Postgres достаточно подробная документация, и видимо поэтому , при инсталляции Postgres для 1С большинство параметров приходится выставлять самим. Параметров в Postgres много, а составить эффективную комбинацию не так просто. Все упрощается если рассмотреть профиль нагрузки, например, 1С это прежде всего профиль OLTP нагрузки – так устроены его метаданные (объекты). Если сосредоточится на оптимизации профиля OLTP, понимание Postgres сразу упростится. Установить Postgres для OLTP

    At times, representing the variety of types a value in #Postges (or any SQL database) can take through multiple tables can taxing, both in terms of development complexity as well as, potentially, performance.

    You must just need a value to be of any of the given variants. I've set out to build a generalized mechanism for defining these.
