  2. I'm a little behind in my podcasts, but here's an excellent speech from @pluralistic on the opportunity Trump has given the world to break free from American tech.

    Well worth a listen!

    But they seemed so nice....

This piece by @pluralistic, although Canadian focused, applies equally to all the US's western allies:

  4. In an ironic twist of fate, Cory Doctorow enlightens us about the "Post-American Internet" while boasting about his ad-free, tracker-free blog. 🎉🌐 Prepare yourself for thrilling tales of object permanence and the NSA's old news, all wrapped in a nostalgia-soaked digital sermon. 🧓📜

  5. "The door is open a crack, the wind is blowing, the #postAmericanInternet is upon us: a new, good internet that delivers all the technological self-determination of the old, good internet, and the ease of use of Web 2.0 so that our normie friends can use it, too.
And I can't wait for all of us to get to hang out there. It's gonna be great."

#PostAmericanInternet is a hashtag worth circulating.
"A post-American internet starts with abandoning the laws that give US companies – and therefore Trump – a veto over how your technology works"
