#WestHighlandFreePress report that #Airbnb type short term lets and holiday homes are creating a local housing crisis in #Plockton. Of the last 9 property sales, 5 were purchased for the short term letting market, 2 were 2nd homes and only 1 is a permanent residence. The Community Trust is submitting a bid to become a short term let Control Area in a move that I’d hope to see replicated in similarly affected communities across #Scotland.
