You can also set the default post visibility across web and mobile currently, but this will be more prominent in our new mobile app ✨

When designing the new Pixelfed mobile app, our main goal was to make it much easier to use and manage.
The new Privacy Settings screen is one example!
Allowing you to manage your account privacy with more settings, some only currently available via web, with help text that better describes each one.

When I started planning the new @pixelfed mobile app, I knew I needed to set these core principles as the foundation.
The result: a much more accessible and performant experience.
I wasn't just thinking about this app either, it has a pretty cool side effect of significantly reducing server load by intelligent client side caching using https://tanstack.com/query.
We also use TanstackQuery in the new webUI.

The new app will support many of your feature requests, like links across bios, comments and posts opening in a browser with a tap, preserving your feed position when you browse a profile, opening comments in a modal for easy browsing and much more!
We won't tease an ETA, we'll share the TestFlight and APK link when ready!

Custom feeds = combine accounts you follow with hashtags feeds, up to 25 per feed, and easily switch between them!

We are making great progress on our new app!
Tonight we finished the compose flow, notifications, posts and are wrapping up the settings screens.
We are prioritizing core features so we can ship sooner, with features like Collections and Stories coming later this summer.

I'm not just working on the Pixelfed frontend/backend, I'm also updating and modernizing our mobile app, it's so much better already.
Faster, Cleaner and Feature Packed.
Comment redesign, Collections, Keyword Filters, Places, Search redesign, Story Polls and much improved Video support.
So much to tease, but I'd rather you experience it yourself.

Looks like I'm going to need to migrate my Pixelfed account. I can't access the pixelfed.de service via the pixelfed app, and I can't seem to find a way to request support. I tried reaching out to @pixelfedde but it hasn't posted since May last year, and I've not received an answer.
So I paint as a hobby and enjoy sharing my paintings. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is a bug in the reply option in Pixelfed App.

Not sure which profile to direct this issue to, so mentioning 3!
The Pixelfed app has a bug where a reply to a comment that is longer than 1 line disappears the "post" option. It is not possible to reply in the app except on one line. See screenshots. You see 'post', bottom right on the reply of one line, but it's gone as soon as the second line is begun.

I'm not sure I understand what's going on ? I couldn't log into the app using my #mastodon server piaille.fr, but I guess I have through desktop a while back (?)

Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'expliquer pourquoi quand je me connecte à PixelFed avec l'app, j'ai pas le même feed et compte que sur le site avec le même loggin (À priori la même instance, même si ça paraît pas clair, est-ce que je rate quelque chose ? Ma compréhension du fediverse reste encore assez flou dans la pratique…)
