Finished the next prototype print on the Little Cruiser, design can be found a few posts earlier. Dukie has spinning wheels (I used an aluminium axle), bear ears and racing tags on the side.

We've reached the 100-day milestone! I've really enjoyed working on the project, sharing it, and following others' work. I'd like to thank everyone who has been following the project. I never thought it would go beyond 100 days!

The feedback of @Kitty and @shadesofgrease regarding toys and gender made me wonder how traditional colors associated with gender, such as pink and blue, can be used without making the toy gender-specific. Introducing a second color works.
By the looks of it I'll introduce a broad pallet of colors for this toy. This thing will be so much fun! 🕶️

A new color combo for the nightlight toy car. Printing is stable now, I've printed 2 pink ones in production. Last few adjustments on the wheelcaps to help assembly and we're good.
I like this yellow/back, it's a tough looking cookie ^^

Jason is happy with his car. Stage one is complete. I have several ideas on how to upgrade the model to make printing and assembly much easier. I've been wanting to make a small gift for Emily, Jason's three-year-old neighbour. So I gave the car a 'baby girl' makeover. What do you think?

#The100DayProject Day 45
Jason's car is finished. I'm currently working on an unrelated 3D project that I'll show in another post. My next step is to pick up drawing cute characters. It's been about 45 years (!!) since I last drew comic art. So I figured my next step should be to look for tutorials on drawing cute characters. My first sketches today, these are HB pencil focused on expression. Shout out to ArtRocket!

#The100DayProject Day 35-44
Long overdue update on Jason's car lamp. I've been very busy with other stuff, so it took me a while to assemble and glue all parts together. Very happy with the result. It's safe, strong and very cute. I've shown it to a couple of people and they love it. Haven't gifted it to Jason yet. The images are with the light off. I'll post a few more with the light on tomorrow.

The first complete prototype is assembled! I think it's crazy cute. There are still a few tweaks to be made, and yes, I am reprinting the body again today. But for now, I'm happy with how it turned out, and am excited to see if Jason thinks the same once I've finished it up! Which will STILL take me at least aonther day :derp:
