I made several bad decisions during my thesis write-up but not figuring out how to use the ‘glossaries’ Latex package early on in the writing process and compiling my abbreviations list as I go is *really* up there with some of the worst.

My field of molecular cell biology is notorious for being full of acronyms so I’m now hating my life #PhDlife #PhDeath

Arrrgh I spent a while this afternoon crafting a paragraph of a discussion/perspectives section in my thesis and then, at the end, went back to one of my results figures to link it to my observations. This made me discover a *fatal flaw* in my hypothesis, so I had to delete the whole paragraph.

Hell has no fury like trying to get your plasmid names, vector and restriction site details to fit into a table that exactly matches the page width (minus margins) of your PhD thesis in LaTex 😭🫠 #PhDlife #PhDeath
