Getting ready for my first Amtrak trip in five months, wake up at 4:30, everything's on schedule - 10 minutes later alert that there's a disruption. Call Amtrak and talk to a fantastic agent who is reading the notes in the system to me, powerlines down across tracks north of Chico and *PG&E* does not have a bucket truck available for a few hours so as of now it's a 3-4 hour delay. This is train travel in the US.

A big #FU to what passes as management for PG&E. The storm is largely over and 400,000 customers are without power. Let’s be blunt, while that was a strong storm for #sfba that was nothing compared to what routinely goes on in other states. We’ve long joked that it must be breezy outside because the lights are flickering. Today that wasn’t funny as their infrastructure completely failed to handle winds that were not even gale force.
