Właśnie dostałem nową fakturę za prąd z #PGE wraz z prognozami na najbliższy okres. Mam wrażenie, kwoty prognoz zostały po prostu wylosowane. Każda jest inna a różnice są znaczące.

#PGE sent an email about summer fires. They are moving a stretch of cables underground in the Mt. Hood National Forest. It's 7 miles of not starting fires because the wind blew too fiercely and bad things happened to power lines. Yay!! It's "a 2-year effort," which emphasizes that it's difficult (and much needed) work.
Instead of AI ripoff machines, I'd have thought we'd have invested in much more of this, but I'm not a money-hoarding billionaire capitalist with a sordid backstory.

Ah. Because the 4th falls on a Saturday, today is a PGE Time Of Day plan holiday. I switched back to line power instead of batteries.
This is why I got the batteries, which recharge off-peak:
Off-Peak: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday-Friday; All day Saturday, Sunday and holidays* – 9.01¢ per kWh
Mid-Peak: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday – 16.89¢ per kWh
On-Peak: 5-9 p.m. Monday-Friday – 43.65¢ per kWh

Why do we allow a major utility - #PGE - that uses fires and explosions and major outages as its maintenance indicators continue to operate?
And why has California's regulatory authority - #CPUC - allowed that to continue?
And why are ratepayers on the hook for the costs of PGE's bad management decisions?

I've been seeing a lot of anti-Steyer ads on #TV & was wondering who was behind them.
So I asked #GeminiAI & this is part of the answer that I got:
"The primary vehicle for these attacks is a Political Action Committee (PAC) called "California is Not for Sale, No on Steyer for Governor 2026." This group is a coalition that includes:
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E): The largest donor, contributing roughly $10 million (some channeled through another PAC called Californians for Resilient and Affordable Energy).
California Association of Realtors: Contributed $5 million.
California Building Industry Association: Contributed $1 million.
California Association of Realtors: This group has contributed approximately $5 million to the efforts against Steyer.
California Building Industry Association: They have contributed roughly $1 million."
I'm not a big fan of Steyer's but now that I've learned that #PGE is spending SO MUCH of our rate $ against him, I'm going to give him another look.

I love how PG&E constantly sends me useless advice like:
“Unplug electronics when they're not in use. Save up to $15 per year”
My dudes, I can easily save $15 a week just by hanging my clothes out to dry. How come you never mention that in any of your advice?

@jewishreader I live in a 5 bdrm house in a summer hot/winter cold zone. So, my #PGE bills are already outrageously high. 🤷♂️
They'd have to hit $1k for a month to be "ridiculously" high. Some have some close but thankfully none have gotten that high yet. 🙏

Sure #PGE, sure. Not a single repair truck viable in these blocks. No notice. Jerks.

Remember the big blackout in SF? And how we were curious about why the ballet had generators and the rest of the neighborhood was in the darkness for days?
Turns out the mayor personally requested for it for his daughter’s performance

PG&E has turned off the power for several houses on our block to upgrade the connection to a neighbor's home. #Martha is keeping an eye on them.
My laptop is running on battery power and the WiFi is running on a UPS battery backup. Such is life.

Fucking #PGE. Evicted the whole neighborhood from on-street parking today to replace a terribly-rotten pole, promised a daylong power outage, and didn't show up, not a single person or piece of equipment. And the weather's nice, there's no fucking excuse for this bullshit other than they suck shit through a straw.

LOL, we just lost power in my neighborhood. #PGE #SFBA https://sfba.social/@fadersolo/115919670628983556
