I'm still not done posting clips of this show though. They went so incredibly hard on pro-bi messaging. I thought it was adorable! It was so nice that they didn't make Luz being bi a phase and they stuck with it.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: for the time they had in season 3, I do think they did a good job of wrapping everything up with a bow. They did their best and I love that they did try to hit the big important plot holes.

:owl_house_king_upset: I wanted them to ship the abomination leader guy and Luz's dad. Give me the bi dad I desire. It's clearly where Amity gets it.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: I love Luz's art so much. They're so cute.

OK, so @scremlin and I finished season 3 literally last night, so it's all very fresh in my head and I can talk about it at length. It's time for another of my famous compliment sandwiches! God, let me just start by saying this series was a love letter to the weird art kid, and it absolutely touched me for that.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: Hooty has like no lines and the whole season is better for it, genuinely.

:owl_house_king_upset: The whole season felt a little rushed and I didn't really care for the collector. I admit I'm biased against "evil little kid" as a horror concept/plot device. I feel like the collector lore needing more fleshing out. Do collectors become archivists? Who are the archivists? Do they now take care of the collector? Why is collector magic useless against titans? What was the thing that the collector was trapped in? How did Belos know about the Collector? I know this is because the show had already been told they were being canceled, so I'm not upset with the writers, but it's still a little frustrating from an audience perspective because they did such a good job at lore fleshing out in the previous seasons that this bothered me in the 3rd season.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: I loved the little montage of the kids being kids in the human world and I love how Luz's mom just happily becomes a mom of 6. Camila is a saint: we love how supportive and sweet she is. As a weird art kid of a weird nerd latina mother myself, her talking about how she feared her kid would suffer for being weird, hit me in a spot I can't explain, but it made me tear up real hard. It's good to see your family reflected in TV shows. I can't stress that enough. When I go hard for things like "let Black characters fall in love", it's this feeling I'm after that I want for all BIPOC kids. It's the feeling of being understood & seen. It's so important.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: Camila with a bat is great. I also love how she's constantly checking in on all the kids' mental health. She's a really good mom.

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: Eda's love of Raine and Raine's desire to help Eda are so good. They are so cute. They are my favorite couple. Luz and Amity are my next favorite couple, but it's a very close race.

:owl_house_king_upset: I wish we had learned more about Eda's curse. Are there other curses like it? Can it be lifted? Who created the curse?

:owl_house_king_thumbs_up: I love that people take real damage in this show. I like that Luz, Raine, and Hunter are scarred for life. I like that Eda doesn't get her arm back. I don't like watching them get hurt, but I like that there's real consequences.

More screenshots that I loved that are perfect for wallpapers. (all the screenshots here should be wallpaper quality at least at 1080p) The first one is a great moment between Luz and Eda. I love how Eda mostly lets Luz do whatever, but tries to put her foot down to ensure Luz doesn't get hurt, which I know is a consistent theme in kids shows, but also this is actually a life or death situation, which I'm happy to see Eda take seriously, so I'm not upset with Eda. I also loved how King grew this season and that final scene really did break my heart. :cinna_cry:

This scene absolutely killed me. I love Eda's little blush even though she's a bad girl and the most powerful witch on the boiling isles. I love the way they look at eachother when they play music. I love that Raine shows concern for Eda's kids and immediately recognizes the gravity of their decisions. It's just so well done. I am so critical of romances in shows, but I'm always a sucker for old flames rekindling in a healthier way.
