@johncomic I once worked in a large chain grocery store but not as a cashier, because union drama (since fixed.) In response to your wondering, yes we all have incredibly rich inner lives, thank you, and customers certainly do remember us after they leave, and sometimes that's not great. And STILL we came to work to get treated worse than a dog, unless you work at Trader Joe's (which I also did,) where there wasn't a union, but they throw you treats once in a while and don't let the customers kick you. so much. #TMI #overshare

Some people #overshare on social media. Not me however, I'm very private. I certainly wouldn't post on Mastodon that I wore my gym kit on the commute today (to use the office gym before work), then after showering realised I'd failed to pack any underpants, and have this been #commando all morning.

Because noone needs to know that. Now I'm spending my lunch break heading to Next for reasons entirely unrelated to this toot.

I wonder if I need to be better about date-stamping my leftovers in the fridge. I've eaten a couple of things recently that *smelled* fine but seem to have really done a number on me, gut-wise. Dunno.

(Yes, I have a marker by the fridge but I probably need to have some masking tape there too for labelling tupperware)

A workaround to fix a brain bug for those who tend to #overshare online and *also* struggle to keep a #diary.

Before pressing toot, think "should this go into the diary instead?". You still get the psychological boost of talking to an audience, but also a final check to filter things that are probably best directed at just yourself that you maybe wouldn't have written down otherwise.

I should write an overshare plugin for Mastodon or something that automates this. Toot to diary. 😁📝🔐

I hate not knowing if I'm being to much or too little for people. Trying to be more relaxed and less "masked" but I've already said stuff that I think was the wrong moment or spoken too much to connect with someone and then the anxiety creeps in even more. But masking comes at an energy cost and people not really knowing me. Its freeing to let it go.

@dancinyogi I'm on the fence. I have some spinach tortellini leftovers but I had them for dinner 2 nights ago and then yesterday my stomach was a *mess*, but I don't know whether to blame them (or the sauce I had with them).

So I guess I'm trying to decide whether to conduct another lab experiment on myself.

If not, I dunno... pita and hummus? TJ's fried rice? An apple and peanut butter?
