Gorgeous day in #ŌtautahiChristchurch -rather blustery - but 24 degrees. Walked the dog and had a #MrWhippy. Feels like holidays!

I’ve never seen a #NZelection run up where there have been so many National hoardings. Very few for any other party in #ŌtautahiChristchurch. No matter which part of the city I’m in. It’s like people just want a change but they don’t care it’ll cost them a fortune in reduced services - because how else are they going to pay for it?
If it was really about reducing spending, they would show the costings.

@aligorith I hear miromiro more often than I see them. They will sometimes approach to a high pitched "pishing" noise.
They're more common further west in the Port Hills, like in Ohinetahi Bush and Omahu Bush. For example, there's a steep zig-zag track down Watlings track from Summit Road into Ohinetahi Bush where I usually find several miromiro.
Plus, the adults have bright orange feet!
