This public consultation process for proposed cycleways in Nelson is cool, and they use MapBox as the map, which is directly based on #OpenStreetMap. This means that all the #OSM improvements me and a few others have made over the last several years, especially separated paths and #micromapping, is on full display! It makes the interactive map more useful because it's easy to identify where paths and crossings are, and areas are accurate and look very nice.

There is ongoing construction work for the new Nelson Bus Hub at Millers Acre, so I've made the building very detailed. Looking forward to micromapping the rest when it's nearly finished. :osm_intensifies:

Two weeks ago a new building construction was completed, and now is updated on OpenStreetMap. Google Maps' buildings are still very inaccurate and don't show the change except for the relocation of Westpac.

So in order to prove a point about #WhakatūNelson being too car-centric, I'm gonna make sure most of the surface level parking - street-side, lot and private - is mapped in #OSMNelson to accurately illustrate "heres a building, and here's the same size of land as car parking for that building".

I had all plans of going into town to collect a bunch of street level photos for micromapping some areas, but rain happened.

Did good mapping survey of the streets and shops around Wakatu Square today. Added a few businesses, updated lots, and learned more about my city, so a very productive session.
There are a lot of websites and phone numbers that will have to be added after a bit of online research as well.We used #StreetComplete fork #SCEE to do it, because it has the quests as well as editing raw tags. And, the 'team mode' worked well.

If you go Search -> Categories -> Transport -> Map button
it will put a blue dot on the map for everywhere there is a bus stop. Organic Maps does NOT say what route those stops are a part of yet, it's in development, including a public transport routing engine. In the meantime, just visit https://ebus.nz . -

I have not done much mapying recently, as there has been a lot going on in my life and I haven't found much time for it. Schedule looks busy for the next couple weeks as well... I will try do at least two more of the eBus route relations before Christmas, hopefully more.
The majority of the StreetComplete quests have been done along Route 3, which I sometimes do when travelling by bus. :osm_intensifies: :streetcomplete:
