What to do when you are waiting for your friends to run pass during their #UltraTrail run. Well, I took the opportunity to #MicroMapping 2 km worth of `highway=steps` on the north side of the #WildenKaiser #mountains and the equivalent amount of `barrier=*` on the south end.
Good thing that I did the #OpenStreetMap surveying before being cooked at 36°C in the #Alps.

So little time but so much to do at camp Šumani regarding #OpenStreetMap.
Took some notes and potential panomarax media and there is still plenty of #MicroMapping tasks open.

The fun challenge of #SuitcaseCarry a sandbag for 12 km in #Wien / #Vienna while doing brief site seeing and #OpenStreetMap.
Towards the center/east of Wien there is the opportunity to do some #MicroMapping. Also there are lots of potential in adding waste baskets and dog stations.
My grip was almost gone the last couple of km, but it could also be due to doing pull-ups on `playground=horizontal_bar`, 3 x 10 #PullUps.

This public consultation process for proposed cycleways in Nelson is cool, and they use MapBox as the map, which is directly based on #OpenStreetMap. This means that all the #OSM improvements me and a few others have made over the last several years, especially separated paths and #micromapping, is on full display! It makes the interactive map more useful because it's easy to identify where paths and crossings are, and areas are accurate and look very nice.

#MicroMapping #playground while doing #fitness. Each note/node equates to 6 pull ups, thus totalling up to 120 pull ups.

Give some love to your parks on OSM :) #micromapping @BeforeAfterOSM (https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/32484266)

There is ongoing construction work for the new Nelson Bus Hub at Millers Acre, so I've made the building very detailed. Looking forward to micromapping the rest when it's nearly finished. :osm_intensifies:

It all depends on the level of details you want to add.
I start off with #ArmChairMapping and once have grabbed most major objects like buildings and landcover. Then I go to the streets to add more details like the values of the buildings and/or addresses.
#StreetComplete permits notes, though prefer to use #OsmAnd instead where I have created a set of quick actions to speed up the process. #EveryDoor in another favorite under #MicroMapping.

Just another park made pretty in OSM - it deserves more than just being a lonely green polygon! #micromapping

I forgot to clear the cache for the website, so confused myself that the map wasn't re-rendering the new data. Anyway, now here's the before / after screenshots for Queens Gardens.

@pirrata ¡jajajaja!

#MicroMapping parks has benefits you may not have realised:
A family is in a new city for a couple days on holiday, and needs to take their children to parks and playgrounds. It is important for them to be able to see the size of the playground. Maybe one child will be upset if there is no slide, so they want to try find one with a slide.
#OpenStreetMap has the possibility of providing highly detailed, useful information, and I'm excited for it!

Today I had some time to “turn on the light” at a new place in OpenStreetMap... (https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/1124991847) #micromapping

We all start somewhere. @mxn got his start in a Walmart parking lot. Behind every seemingly mundane element on the map, there’s a story to tell. Where will your first OpenHistoricalMap edits be?

I love looking at before and after photos from people adding missing details to #OpenStreetMap. So...here is mine. I fixed some of the details for a church in #southafrica and a couple extra as well.

Just posted a very long overdue update on a personal project I've been working on since December last year - Mapping Gqeberha

#DailyBloggingChallenge (235/250)
One of my #OpenStreetMap #MicroMapping areas is
waterway=ditchmapping. In this realm one mainly needs to know the possible crossings, the water flow direction, and on which side of the highway it exists. The flow direction is the trickiest of the three, since with the tag
intermittent=yesone cannot depict directly the flow direction. The tag is used when the ditch is either dry or has little water across the year. This tag is optional, though since it exists, expect the outcome to meet such instances in the wild. -
A feature I love about @organicmaps, and where it trumps #GoogleMaps, is the level of detail as I can see where there is bicycle parking, drinking water and even a life saving defibrillator. This is thanks to the level of #micromapping in #openstreetmap

wondering if it might make sense to add the tag `bench:mode=*` to the #OpenStreetMap dataset? `bench:type=*` already exists (https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:bench:type).
This would take bench #micromapping to a new level of detail.
