USS Buncombe County (LST-510) is an LST-491-class #tankLandingShip built for the #UnitedStatesNavy during #WorldWarII. Named for #BuncombeCountyNorthCarolina, she was the only U.S. Naval vessel to bear the name. She currently serves as a #ferry between #NewLondonConnecticut, and #OrientLongIsland.
