#orienteeringmapping, 10 years ago, nearly state of the art: georeferencing by importing building outlines from #osm, orthophotos as a bunch of screenshots, adjusted according to the osm data.
Updating the same map now: georeferenced orthophoto from government #opengeodata -> ouch 😖
ok, lets make the central road a bit narrower, nobody will notice...

Visualization of 3D building models in #QGIS: With #3DCityDB and the plugins 3DCityDB Tools and #Qgis2threejs, LOD1 and LOD2 data can be visualized in a 3D view. In addition, there are visualizations of the street space divisions on the images (released by the city of #Kiel using #FragDenStaat). Next steps are to enrich the map with more objects and nag the state #SH @landesregierung to build a better downloader for #OpenData / #OpenGeoData.

Dazu kommen auf den Bildern Visualisierungen der Straßenraumaufteilungen (von der Stadt #Kiel mittels #FragDenStaat befreit). Nächste Schritte sind das Anreichern der Karte mit weiteren Objekten und das Land #SH @landesregierung nerven, einen besseren Downloader für #OpenData / #OpenGeoData zu bauen.
