Sad to hear of the passing of Annie Nightingale. She was part of my music intake via radio & TV when very young. Never watched the Old Grey Whistle Test until new wave infiltrated it and Annie presented it (even if she could be ill informed about other genres at times. She once thoroughly pissed off Paul Simon by asking him who wrote what between him and Art Garfunkel to which Simon (annoyed) replied that he alone was the writer).
