  1. 🧵 Fabriquons une #mikroflööt
    (je partage ma recette)

    C'est une #flûte globulaire, #ocarina à 4 trous. Se joue d'1 main, chromatique, 1 octave.

    == le corps ==

    Outils (électriques ou à main) : perceuse et scie à chantourner, papier de verre.

    Dans un bloc de bois de 100×30×16mm, on évide un rectangle de 20×55mm.

    On perce un trou de 12mm dans l'épaisseur. Il servira plus tard à former l'encoche de maintient pour le petit doigt.

    Poncer sommairement l'intérieur.

  2. Girl who has only played the ocarina since high school: Wow, this tin whistle is giving me ocarina vibes!

Quel heureux hasard !

  5. Teaching myself the ocarina is going well. I've almost memorized which fingering goes with which letter goes with which place on the musical staff. I can (slowly) play any song that stays on a single staff from lower C to upper F.
    I practice when I think I'm alone, but nothing is guaranteed... apologies to anyone who heard me toot and warble "Red River Valley" Frere Jacques" and "Scarborough Fair" last night.
    Also! I think I lucked out that the ocarina I bought at a toy store, modeled after the one from the Zelda game, is actually a tuned and playable instrument. Reading today that a lot of them are not, they are just props or toys. Sad for all the kids who end up with one.
