We sold our 24kWh Nissan Leaf, MOT was coming up and the dealer was adamant it would some expensive brake pipe replacement. So at ten years old mechanically showing its age, and battery somewhat degraded, but still ample for local trips/commute.

yasss my 2013 nissan leaf AZE0 now has a 69kWh battery! the meter shows 450km+, but I just drove 70km on the highway and it only used 13% so that amounts to about 540km on the highway, absurd for a 13 year old electric car!
I also got a Chademo to CCS2 converter plug, so I'm now able to charge at absolutely any random fast charger, removed the TCU (Telematics), replaced steering joints, etc. This 13 year old car is ready to go for another decade!

Sometimes people tell us to "get a job" as if it's that simple.
There are multitudinous good reasons why we:
1. Consider our work for Vulpine Labs and the local community more important than any run of the mill "job".
2. Cannot seriously be expected to attain traditional employment.
3. Shun traditional models of pay in favour of Mutual Aid.And we won't let capitalism grind us down.
Today, Atha:
Reset the mouse traps in the bus
Cleared snow off the bus and car (altitude does not care for your "seasons", mere mortals)
Got a new phone from a good friend
Set up an LELink LeafSpy OBD2 device to help diagnose and fix the car
Did some reading at the library to get back in the mood for learning PythonAnd Inara:
Did trans HRT injections
Did some cleaning and tidying
Took the car to do a slow charge session
Did some phone setup

Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of when I started driving pure EVs, starting with a Nissan Leaf on May 6, 2011 (photo below). Then I had a Tesla from August 25, 2018 to March 13, 2025, and currently a Hyundai Kona Electric (which fits better in my garage, plus it doesn't remind me of Elon). I was initially inspired by the 2006 movie Who Killed the Electric Car.
All with no gas or oil changes! (Also no smog checks when I lived in California.) I will definitely never buy another car with an internal combustion engine (another type of #ICE to avoid).
