The caravan descended the hills of Neither Lang with hurried steps toward fabled Minashi-by-the-Sea, passing through plum and sakura trees in eternal bloom.
No guards greeted them, for none dared invade. The bones of three times three armies lay bleaching on Neither Lang’s slopes, and none knew what dread curse had felled them.
Instead, crickets in bamboo cages and bush warblers perched on open fretted enclosures serenaded them as they #filed through ivory gates. Then, the merchants lining the streets sang out their wares: salt-cured #limes, cocoa #nibs, flower petal silks, and food—sakura mochi, citrus tuna, roasted lime-slaked corn, and chiled sprats.
The travelers hurried to cedar-shaded inns, famous for eel stews redolent with rosemary and pickled limes. With their camels stabled and wares piled high for sale the next day, they sought beds with fine linen sheets sprinkled with lime blossoms.
Thus, Kurotsuki Kaibyō, the dream-stealing catkin, came to Minashi-by-the-Sea.

Don't know if this counts for #SwatchWednesday too, but one of my grail #nibs arrived this morning (thanks to my Auntie-in-law for agreeing to take delivery and carrying this back to me from the U.S.)

The new Ferris Wheel Press Kickstarter is live! I like the look of the pen, but I don't think I'll be picking it up. I love the engraving on the individual nib set, but I can't help feeling that they've really missed a trick by only having standard nib grinds. Considering their whole shtick is creativity it would have been nice to have some creative grinds, like a cursive italic, a fude, an architect, that kind of thing.

Can nibmeisters make architects or other specialized nibs from original nib sizes smaller than M? I have a fine stub Schmidt nib which I like a lot, and wondered if it's possible to make architect nibs from F or MF nibs. #FountainPens #nibs #lazyweb

Are the Pilot medium nibs the same between the steel nib on something like the Explorer or Metropolitan and the gold medium nib on a Pilot E95s? I find the E95s medium nib to be ridiculously broad and wet (especially relative to a fine on a vintage Pilot Elite) and wondered if the steel nib medium might be less so? 🤔

A while back I mentioned you can buy purple nibs from Nahvalur for their pens (and others may be compatible; I fitted my Laban Skeleton with a purple nib transplanted into the Laban housing). I see they also have black and blue now, in addition to the rose gold they offered before. They also have these colors for gold nibs. Since they just released a spring pen with a green nib, they might start offering green nibs in the future.

If I like needlepoint nibs (I have a Franklin-Christoph) and the Kakuno EF nib (which is even finer than the F-C), would I like an EF Sailor nib? I have small writing, so I like finer nibs, or architects, as they work well with my block print writing.
Also, is the Sailor zoom nib really broad? I like architect nibs, but not a really fat, rounded one (I’m not sure I like Naginata-Togi nibs, but I haven’t tried an “official” one; got a couple from AliExpress 😅).

My only experience with #Pilot nibs is through my Capless Fermo, Elite, E95s or Falcon. Oh, I also bought a stub nib unit for a Vanishing Point which I’ve used in Majohn A1s. I’m interested in the SU, the FA, and the PO from @penaddict ‘s article. I wish I could buy the #nibs separately! #FountainPens

At the local stationery shop they had a special sale on some #German #Online #calligraphy #FountainPen sets with a range of #nibs. I tried the 1.4mm #StubNib, using the #LeftHanded #underwriting technique I've been practising, and the thickness of the strokes didn't vary much. When I switched back to my more natural #overwriting style, there was much more variation in the strokes. Not sure how to proceed from here... @fountainpens
