For today’s theme, here are the locations with photos of all known and extant #HistoricalMarkers (aka commemorative plaques) found in Europe that were created by the National Historical Commission of the #Philippines (#NHCP). It turns out that these are all related to our national hero José Rizal since he traveled extensively in Europe.

(I was fortunate enough to visit the 2 markers in Germany and would love to visit the rest!)

As some of you may know, I help document national historical markers in #Wikidata and #WikimediaCommons. And today's photo haul is from the town of Santa Maria in the province of Bulacan, which I visited because that's where the annual grand-maternal family reunion was held.

While I was in Legazpi attending State of the Map Asia, I also went around the area to take photos of a few NHCP historical markers for my #Wikidata -based project #Panandâ. I would've wanted to visit 4 more markers but didn't have the time anymore.
