I washed the #NewCar. I should've done it yesterday when the driveway was in the shade or waited until today when the driveway was in the shade but I did it in the sun like an idiot and now I have water spots on it. Something to deal with another time.

I set up the portable air conditioner in my studio. I made a custom window fitting so I can keep the cat door in place. On a hot day it'll keep my workspace cool, but there's no chance of it cooling the entire 12 x 24' room.

At 100%, I supposedly have an EV-only range of 43 miles. With some rough math I can calculate that it costs about 1¢ per mile to drive this car in EV only mode.

I left with 74% charge, got it up to 75% on the way down the hill (I live about 800 feet above the elevation of town), and got home with 42% power. 21 miles. Found a great high speed USB cable solution for the #NewCar. The curly cord will eliminate the tangle of a long cord while still enabling me to pull my phone out to use it.

I honestly don't believe that EVs are ready for extensive travel. I know several people here who would disagree with me, but after picking up this car at the dealer with a zero charge, I figured I top it off at the first EV charge station I saw. And then I didn't see ANY on my 650 mi back roads trip home. #NewCar (2/2)
