"Possession" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter #SarahMcLachlan, and was the first #single from her album #FumblingTowardsEcstasy. It was written and composed by McLachlan herself and was produced by #PierreMarchand. It was released in Canada on 10 September 1993 by #NettwerkRecords. The song appears twice on the album, as the first track and as a #hiddenTrack at the end, which is a solo piano version.

The prompt is #Ground
Ginger, “Solid Ground” from “Far Out” 1994After chatting with @alfvaen here a few weeks back when he referenced Grapes of Wrath, a band I didn’t know, and learning they were the precursor to Ginger, whom I love, I knew what this week’s offering would be.
I first heard this track on the #NettwerkRecords compilation “Percolator - Music For A Cafe Culture,” and I liked it so much I had to get the band’s full album. It’s one of those songs so evocative it feels like a classic the first time you hear it, like the worn leather of a soft, broken-in shoe. This band delivers jangly guitar chords with a melodic warmth that - cornball alert! - makes my heart sing.
