  1. a bar is mostly empty. there's a Nazi at one table, talking quietly with others. when they get loud, the bartender approaches. they quiet down and everybody has a nice night.

the Nazi table reacts badly and the bartender tosses them out.

    - the bar gets more popular.

the Nazi table reacts badly and the bartender does nothing. everybody else leaves. it becomes a #NaziBar.

the Nazi table never gets loud but a few patrons tell them and every other person with bad views to leave.

    - it doesn't.

  2. Friendly reminder that #Substack is X in disguise. Both writing on that platform and reading and sharing articles ultimately supports the nazi folks who publish there.

For more info on why to leave (and stop referring to) Substack, and about which alternatives to go to, check:

    Thank you!

  3. Just got an unsolicited "Project 2029" email (using the Substack #NAZICoffeeHouse #NAZIBar of course)

"Kids Over Clicks" is the clearly over-workshopped consultant approved phrase for the issue du jour.

God Dems are so bad at politics.

  4. Just discovered I still had a Twitter account from over a decade ago that I never used, and forgot to delete. Logged in to delete it. Timeline showed posts of:
    1. How undocumented immigrants should be deported even if they've been in the states for decades and are contributing to society. (Their words)
    2. Public broadcaster is "fake news"
    3. Palestine activists are "pro-Hamas thugs" in league with Mamdani.
    4. A misleading claim that Starbucks is banning pets to become halal certified (they're not)
    5. A fake AI video of people plunging to their deaths after a swimming pool falls off a skyscraper
    6. Post from Elon (who I never followed)
    7. So. Much. Nazi. Stuff.

This was all just in the first few posts I saw. The place is basically Truth Social now.

  6. The strangest thing about the #EFF leaving #Twitter is that ... Why the fuck were they still in that #NaziBar !?

  7. I was pissed off lately, when someone shared a link to a #Substack, and the site was using a custom domain, so it bypassed my blocking rules.

So I wrote this little browser extension (for #Firefox), that blocks substack sites more thoroughly, even if they use a custom domain name. Don't drink at the #NaziBar.

  8. CW: Nazi mention

If you think Substack is okay, read this:

    theguardian.com/media/2026/feb

And note that "Substack was contacted for comment but did not respond."

When you read Substack articles, subscribe to Substack or share links to Substack, you are, in your own small way, helping Nazi enablers. Yes, literal, not metaphorical or hyperbolical Nazis; actual real Nazis who wave swastikas around and think Hitler was the greatest.

  9. I was about to write a very simple browser extension to help people avoid the #nazibar (aka #substack) more easily but now it looks like releasing that for both #Firefox and #Chrome-based browsers, essentially requires maintaining two entirely separate ways of it working. Thanks Google for forcing Manifest V3, you giant piece of garbage..
