Meet Tombo/Oni.
Direct from Motohara Blades and custom made for me.
Several practices under my obi and still have all my fingers. Balance is amazing. Sori (curve of blade) a little more extreme than I’m used to but I love it. Custom iron nata tsuba looks hewn. Hums like a dragonfly.
Thank you @evolution_blades and may you all have good fortune with or without your demons.

Currently in Japan, on a kind of pilgrimage. The founder of Iaido, Japanese swordsmanship, is said to have gone into a cave not far from this temple about 450 years ago and created (some say with the help of a Tengu, a mountain goblin) the style I practice #musojikideneishinryu
Thinking about him here, on this snowy mountain, gives me a feeling that every bow, to every shomen in every dojō I’ve ever practiced in, a deeper meaning.
A long trip well worth it.
