I just watched that new #MumboJumbo video where he talks about his process of moving to France. And yea, it's absolutely beautiful cinematographically and I'm genuinely happy for him. But it did leave a weird aftertaste to see someone be able to literally go from finding an ad for a house for sale, to closing that sale with the realtor, within 25 minutes. Without even looking at the house.
Like, how filthy rich do you have to be to not even visit or inspect the house you're buying, and to just trust a realtor? Do you not care about the cost of the renovations? Whether the roof is leaky or whatever?
That kinda left a strange aftertaste in my mouth. Some people are so unfathomably rich that they can just choose to buy a chalet in another country on a whim and move their life there. #Mumbo is a great guy and pretty down to earth, but it's a harsh reminder that some of us have to choose between 'food or no food' every day, while others can just buy a house a country over and drive there with their fianceé in a van and a Mk3 Supra.
I wish life was as nice for everyone.
