It seems to be random. I think it is a Javascript issue.

Your #MultiWordHashTags showed up for me in #CamelCase but I have seen it #AutoMagically be downshifted to lowercase only.

  6. I am a little bit sad that every time I try to use a #Hashtag, #Mastodon tries to autocomplete it with a lower-case substitute. Particularly with multiple-word tags, this is an #Accessbility problem. I go out of my way to make my #MultiWordHashTags more easily properly pronounced by screen-readers (and indeed readable by Mk. I Eyeballs), but the UX keeps trying to squash them to lower case -- even when the more popular posts I see with the same tags are properly capitalized. Is there an existing issue for the problem on the project's repository that I can upvote?

  11. @dt @mcc would have to expand #MultiWordHashtags. Could hide the list behind a widget that says “99 tags” and expands to show which ones when tapped

  19. @mastodonmigration Thank you. Please also recommend using #CamelCase for #MultiWordHashtags so that screen readers for visually impaired people can interpret them as separate words. Thanks!

  24. @davidallengreen Over on the BirdSite I was told that a string of words together wasn't so bad for screen reading software if each individual word in the string was capitalised. That stuck with me so I always capitalise 😊
