"Moonlight Serenade" is an American swing #ballad composed by #GlennMiller with subsequent lyrics by #MitchellParish. It was an immediate phenomenon when released in May 1939 as an instrumental arrangement, though it had been adopted and performed as Miller's #signatureTune as early as 1938, even before it had been given the name "Moonlight Serenade". In 1991, Miller's recording of "Moonlight Serenade" was inducted into the #GrammyHallOfFame.

"Corrine, Corrina" (sometimes spelled "#CorrinaCorrina") is a #12bar #countryBluesSong in the AAB form. "Corrine, Corrina" was first recorded by #BoCarter (#Brunswick 7080, December 1928). However, it was not copyrighted until 1932 by Bo Carter (under his real name, Armenter Chatmon), along with his publishers #MitchellParish and #JMayoWilliams. The song is familiar for its opening verse:

IN THE ELEVATOR. NOT his 1931 version. This is a slick 1950s interpretation – insane #saxophone vibrato here, and I don't necessarily mean that in a good way. Or maybe I do??
