@filmfileuk It's finally starting to get some love, but Steve De Jarnatt's "Miracle Mile" (1988) is absolutely fantastic and far too few people have seen it.

Anthony Edwards stars as a guy late for a followup date with his dreamgirl (Mare Winningham). Hoping she got his message and is calling back, he takes a call at a phone booth... only to have a wrong number tell him that nuclear weapons will be wiping the US out within 70 minutes.
