😭 It’s working – but now that I do have other modules connected the USB power is not perfect anymore and I get “under voltage” messages on the #raspberrypi 4b (which is picky with power anyway).
Maybe I can just suppress the warning text, and use the correct USB PSU for gigs and recordings… 🫠
It all went fine for this quick test session, but the text does mess around with the #miditracker interface…

A sincere question about git(hub):
I have a lot of repositories currently hosted on github, this dates back to ~2015, and is mostly crap „private“ repositories. With old projects more or less just being uploaded and not really versioned. I use it as longterm storage for fun, useful or cringe things I’ve built.
There is also the data of my website/garden on there, also for “secure“ - as long as I have access to my account - storage. This is also hidden to the public, and quite large with binary data sprinkled in (all image content of my website, compressed as webp).
The third type of projects are some public repositories: my #midiTracker, a neat little blender #gpx addon and some other snippets I think are worth sharing. All with smallish file sizes.
I am looking for an alternative to host these types of projects. While they do not need to be hosted on the same git - I would appreciate something that could do this. I’d rather pay for the service than supporting GitHub with my usage/data and their AI bullshit.
Even with the current extractive AI crawlers I’m ok with fully “open sourcing” the public repositories - after examination if I’m doing that correctly. But I also need a place to store my private repos for the extreme case that I might loose all my local data.
I am not willing to self host, as I am lacking the skill and technical deep insight to keep this running safely over a long time.
I appreciate your opinions, also pointers if I am generally misguided about this whole situation.

Added sub step modifiers to the midi tracker and I can now do small ratchets and even a chord mod (if the synth has polyphonic midi)
Now with a bike bell I found on the ground somewhere during my commutes.

Still in awe of #bcon24, the community around blender is still a wonderful group of people caring for and about each other.
On the second night I played an 2 hour set of modular madness with live rendered Visuals. I had so much fun that night and had so many good responses the following days.
I’m still collecting and preparing some of the images people took and sent me. While also waiting for some bits of video footage ❤️
