Het is absurd, maar die 113 Europarlementariërs hadden gewoon hun plicht moeten doen door te stemmen, ipv op vakantie te gaan.
Wat ook helder is, is dat de #EVP en Roberta #Metsola misbruik hebben gemaakt van een loophole.
Wat me nog niet duidelijk is, is dat als er 3 x kan worden gestemd, waarvan 2 x tegen, kan er dan ook 4 x worden gestemd?

Manfred Weber (EVP/CSU) möchte die Chatkontrolle und kann sich dabei auf Schützenhilfe der Parlamentspräsidentin (!) des EU-Parlaments (Roberta Metsola) verlassen.
Zeigt gut, wie es um die demokratische Substanz der EU bestellt ist, wenn eine Parlamentspräsidentin aus der neutralen Rolle ihres Amtes fällt um parteipolitischen Mummenschanz - der bereits abgelehnt wurde - wieder auf die Tagesordnung zu bringen.

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola has warned the European Commission that bypassing Parliament for the billion-euro joint procurement loans could trigger legal action at the EU’s top court.
Article 122 of the EU Treaty, normally used in emergencies, allows the Commission to push through proposals, minimising Parliament's negotiating time.
