CW: Mastodon/Metatext question
Does anyone know why there’s people I can’t follow? I can see their profile and toots, and the follow button, but when I click nothing happen. Is this a server-dependent thing? For more info I’m using #metatext #MetatextTip #mastodon

One more question: is there a way to #follow a #hashtag? I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that there is but I can’t see how (from #Metatext , admittedly it may be possible on the main #mastodon web client). #MetatextTip

Ok #toots ! I’ve started using #Metatext and have LOTS of questions already.
1. What is the ‘messages’ tab? I thought #Mastodon didn’t have DMs? So far it’s an empty tab for me.
2. What’s the little eye icon that I can see on the top right of toots?

#MetatextTip take pictures using your camera app and not Metatext, so if your attempt to post to a mastodon account fails for some reason (networking weirdness, gremlins, too much traffic for the poor server, whatever) it will still be available to you for trying again later. Metatext does not store snaps in your Photos Library until *after* a successful upload. <shrug/> #DesignChoices
