Going to be testing this bad boy tomorrow. Supposed to be a GSM antenna but it is tuned to 868MHz making it perfect for Meshtastic. Bit of a shanty town setup at the moment. If it goes well i’ll make something more permenent. I’m going from +5dbi gain with the Paradar to +10dbi with this. Exercising cautious optimism… #Meshtastic #meshtasticuk #meshcomms

Having just seen a post mentioning #mesh, #meshcore and #meshtastic I was forced to look into what the hell these are.

I love this stuff. Things that others have been developing and using for years and I finally stumble across it. I have of course already ordered my first device and am waiting, very impatiently, for it to be delivered.

The problem is that I live out in the sticks so actually being able to use these things is a bit of a long shot.

I can see that the next purchase could well be a serious repeater station so that I can actually communicate with anyone else at all.

Just have to wait and see.

So, I'm messing around with #Meshtastic firmware version 2.7.3 and I have noticed a substantial improvement in performance. It seems a lot more resilient in built up areas. Haven't read the patch notes but can anyone tell me if anything has been added to improve performance? #meshtasticUK
