Got the best compliment today! We ran a somewhat experimental interactive student seminar on combinatorial questions in pure math vs. machine learning this summer. (learn more about it here: https://web.mathi.uni-heidelberg.de/ggt/ss26-mlmath)
The final session was today and one of the students said: "This seminar actually made me enjoy mathematics again!" --- I mean - what else could I ask for? -

Fraser made the point that AI only gets to the stage where humans are completely out of the loop if humans choose to take themselves out of the loop [...] “One thing that young researchers in math can do is identify things that they value in being a mathematician, and care for those so that the path in which AI is integrated into math honours that."

Is there anyone reading this who could give a talk on "Math(s) and Artificial Intelligence"?
It would need to be aimed at a general audience, so while the material itself doesn't need to be deep, the person giving the talk would need to have some first-hand experience of the actual math(s) that's involved.
Anyone?
