'State-sponsored' label on violence in Manipur by CPI-backed federation's fact-finding team
The general secretary of the National Federation of Indian Women, Annie Raja, told reporters on Monday that she suspects the violence — which has claimed more than 130 lives and displaced around 60,000 people — is linked to the exploration of petroleum in the state, which began in 2017.
