I committed an act of quilting! Kind of. I sewed the cotton pieces together first, then put them onto the cotton batting.
The feature in modern sewing machines where you press a lever and the needle gets threaded is a piece of magic I will never cease to be grateful for.
Ran out of bobbin thread and I did remember how to refill the bobbin, and how to thread the machine up afterwards.
The iron was on the whole time I worked so I could keep pressing fabric seams flat. Tomorrow's project is to turn these into zipper pouches. I have plain lining fabric picked out but not cut to size yet.
My sewing is not precise, the seam allowances are larger than they needed to be, but I'm happy with the panels.
Also, rotary cutters might be the scariest piece of equipment I have ever used.

This is the largest Beelipad I make — the only size with room for words, which is the whole reason it exists. 😂 The smaller ones do the same job with less to say.
They sit in a shallow water dish so bees have somewhere to land while they drink. I’m making them in a range of sizes so there’s one for whatever dish you’re using.
Stamped freehand, so the letters wander a little.
