    Ryan Goodman joined me this morning for a live chat to help us understand the legal issues and the law surrounding Friday’s report in the Washington Post that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave verbal instructions to “kill everybody” in advance of the September 2 attack on a boat in the Caribbean. The administration has maintained that the vessel was being used for narcoterrorism. Other reports have suggested that people being trafficked were on board.

    The report was enough to generate bipartisan support in both houses of Congress for oversight. Yes, you read that sentence correctly.

    This morning’s conversation sets the table for understanding the investigation that’s about to occur. Ryan and I lay out the law and the basic questions that will need to be answered, like whether this is a non-international armed conflict, as the White House maintains, or something else and how that decision impacts the law that applies to determine whether it was a crime to kill the survivors of the initial attack on September 2.

    This conversation builds on my post Saturday evening, which you may want to review because it outlines the facts the Washington Post reported and some legal basics. It also relates back to the post I wrote after six Democratic members of Congress made a video reminding members of the military and intelligence communities that they should not obey illegal orders. At the time, Trump dismissed them as seditious, reposting a Truth Social poster who suggested George Washington would have hanged the six. Military and FBI investigations were opened. As we discussed, they were accurately stating the law, and the issue is one of the country, not partisan politics.

  19. Die Schulen in #BW müssen mit ihren EDV-Diensten js leider von #Belwü weg zu einem #Provider aus der freien Wirtschaft wechseln, weil Belwü mangels politischem Willen das für Schulen nicht weiter machen darf.

    In Absprache mit der
    #Schulleitung haben wir diese Woche den Umzug unserer #Domain und der #Mailkonten zu #Hetzner beauftragt, wohin ich vor 1 Jahr schon die Webseite umgezogen habe.

    Dabei sollte auch ein
    #Imapsync der Konten gemacht werden, und zwar, nachdem die Domain umgezogen wurde. Das hatte ich Hetzner gegenüber auch so kommuniziert und ein kompetenter und mitdenkender #Hoster sollte selbst wissen, dass erst der Domain- und dann der Mailkontenumzug erfolgen muss, damit keine Inkonsistenzen entstehen.

    22 Stunden nach Abschluss des Mailumzugs ist die Domain noch immer nicht umgezogen. Mehrfach kam vin Hetzner die Anforderung an ein Formular, obwohl bereits mehrfach geschickt und normalerweise seit langem der Auth-Code des alten Providers reicht, den ich ebenfalls mehrfach an Hetzner geschickt habe. Die eine Abteilung zieht die Konten um, die andere die Domain, die linke Hand weiß bei Hetzner offensichtlich nicht, was die Rechte tut, Reaktionszeit auf mit sehr dingend markierte Mails bis zu 3 Tage.

    Das ist einfach massivst unbefriedigend und habe ich bei keinem anderen Provider je so erlebt.

    Ich kann mich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass die bei Hetzner arbeiten, wie man es sonst den Beamten in der Behörde vorwirft.

    #Support #Hotline oder #Livechat, um die Sache mal zu beschleunigen gibt’s auch nicht. Das habe ich bei #Webgo sogar bei meinem 6,95 Euro Sondertarif.

    Bearbeitung am Wochenende kennt Hetzner ebenfalls nicht, Webgo schon.

    Ihr fragt euch wahrscheinlich jetzt, warum ich bei der Schule nicht zu Webgo gewechselt bin. Weil Hetzner für das Szenario der Schule das attraktivere Webhostingpaket anbietet und gerade auch bei meinen ganzen
    #Schuladmin Kollegen als großer, seriöser deutscher Provider gilt.

    Aber das, was hier gerade passiert, schockiert mich massiv. Dazu diese völlig sinnbefreite monatliche Abrechnung künftig und ein wirklich seltsam konfigurierter
    #Mailserver. Die Unterordner des Posteingangs erscheinem in #Thunderbird entweder in der obersten Ordnerebene, oder alle Ordner inklusive "Gesendet" erscheinen unterhalb Posteingang 🤷

    Metastream is underway: today, we'll dive deep into creating a Viewer Character for use in my further streams. In summary, idea is very similar to #StreamAvatars - little creatures spawn and roam around on the bottom of the screen, reminding of the viewers in chat.

    But I have some nuances which I wish to cover with #GodotEngine. 👾 It's smooth animations, and physics, and #Peertube #LiveChat plugin support, and partial viewer authorization... Woah! More of that in the separate stream, but right now let's concentrate on the design part in #Inkscape.
