Un utente/cliente al quale ho suggerito un nuovo portatile (che ha acquistato) aveva un TOSHIBA SATELLITE PRO C50-A-1DP che successivamente mi ha regalato per il non uso. Ho resettato W 10 e installato Linux Mint Cinnamon 22,.22. Sono entusiasta, delle performance e delle prestazioni generali. Se tutti i W 10 passassero a Linux il mondo sarebbe migliore. Ciao

Follow up on #HDMI issues with #Linux #Mint (Cinnamon)...
My friends, I have spend an inordinate amount of time online in diff fora to find some elucidating explanations and solutions. I've tried them all, trust me.
Bottom line is while there are no iissues with HDMI output using #Ubuntu 20, Linux Mint (21 or 22) does not support HDMI, it doesn't look for it, it doesn't see it. Period. Hardwired multi-display function keys do not work. Display Config has no options for it.
And While I've found some utterly simplistic YouTube advice about solving the issue, none of the are correct or assume other bits and pieces are there to make it all happen without telling you about it. Absolutely useless.
So much for that. My solution, after a large amount of advice and reading is to try another Ubuntu based distro to stream from notebook to TV via HDMI.
