Fuck man, the A's.
I wasn't around for a lot of the glory days, but even over the last decade and change I've been keeping up they have fielded some FUN teams. Ownership is trash ofc and the Coliseum is a lovable dump, but I'm grateful for all of the good times I had there growing up. I was always so excited to tell people that my great uncle factored in on those amazing teams in the late 80s, and it was awesome to go catch a game for like sub 20 dollars after work back when my office was located in Oakland.
The town and the fans deserve so much better than this. I know this isn't the final chapter for baseball in Oakland.

Cal Storm pulled one back, so it's 3-2 #Oakland with half an hour left. You can see the great sellout crowds at Merritt College that #OaklandSoul have been attracting. I haven't checked the numbers, but I'd bet more people are attending Soul games than A's games these days.
