Well, this was the closest I ever came to attending a post season major league baseball game. The was the final season of Shea Stadium and I had not been able to get down to the NYC for a game that year. This would have been a perfect farewell to a ballpark that I loved dearly. Unfortunately, the team had an epic collapse culminating with a loss on the final day of the season that left them out of the postseason. It sounds very familiar, eh? Maybe I will still get there one day, but I'm not counting on it anymore.
