Canonical hat am 13.11.2025 das Legacy‑Add‑on für Ubuntu Pro erweitert und damit die Gesamtdauer des Supports für alle Ubuntu‑LTS‑Versionen auf 15 Jahre erhöht. Der neue Zeitraum gilt rückwirkend ab Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) und bietet langfristigen Produktionssystemen durchgehend Sicherheits‑Updates, Compliance‑Tools und optionalen Support.
