    Is it reasonable to be practicing Chinese using a pinyin keyboard, or should I be looking for something more advanced? I'm trying to do something a bit more difficult than Duo Lingo's "pick from a bunch of characters" option, but I'm worried that I will bake in some mistakes this way by not recognizing the characters as well
