Et si l’État français proposait (enfin) à ses agents des outils de travail adaptés et indépendants des géants nord-américains ? La Direction Interministérielle du numérique (DINUM) y travaille et présentera "LaSuite" le 30 juin prochain pour le réseau des URFIST, en mettant l'accent sur les besoins particuliers de l'enseignement supérieur et la recherche.

TLDR: They comment the various criticisms and are generally very positive about this state run project.

Personnellement je suis aussi team DINUM. Je suis plutôt très content de leurs initiatives.
Cet article m'a tout de même rendu alerte sur la partie de réinvention de la roue.
Donc, créer du commun, au lieu de participer à un commun existant. Je comprends également l'approche par rapport à l'adaptation de logiciel existant au lieu de repartir de zéro pour coller au plus prêt de besoins existants.Un petit bémol par rapport à ça. Si la dinum venait à disparaitre, ce commun risquerait de ne pas trop avoir de futur, alors qu'une participation à un commun existant pourrait continuer meme si un nouveau gouvernement décidait de stopper le dinum.
En tout cas, en ayant vu l'argent du gouvernement dilapidé dans plusieurs initiatives notamment le cloud souverain vers 2012, le dinum me rend bien plus satisfait de cet argent utilisé. Pour une fois, je le sens investi, et pas dilapidé.

Mars 2026 : 💸 le Ministère de l’ #ÉducationNationale renouvelle un contrat avec Microsoft. Malgré les circulaires #Ayrault (2012), #Castex (2021), #Lecornu (2026), et malgré l’existence de #LaSuite et surtout de https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apps.education.fr , le #MEN renouvelle son contrat avec #Microsoft jusqu’en 2029. 🤷

Fruit d'un développement mené grâce à des outils open source, LaSuite est la réponse française (et souveraine) aux suites bureautiques du marché, comme celle de Microsoft. BFM Tech a pu rencontrer ceux qui se cachent derrière l'ensemble des logiciels qui n'ont rien à envier à ceux développés par les puissantes entreprises américaines.

Interestingly, they have a Minister for Digitalisation. They start with LibreOffice, "with a full transition to open-source software by the end of the year."
Motivations are (licensing) costs and political tensions, to protect data and reduce reliance on foreign tech.
Of course MS can waive the upcoming licensing costs, and they might return to US tech dependency. But many governments are now making similar, or more audacious transitions.
I wonder why the Danes didn't yet join the EDIC for Digital Commons? There's important shared investments being made, e.g. in collaborative workspaces...

Jos oikein ymmärrän niin tuo Visio vastaa Jitsiä/Element Callia eli on enemmänkin videopuheluplatta. Toisaalta en oikein ymmärrä miksi keksiä uusi alusta, kun nuo on jo olemassa.. Ellei se perustu esim Element Calliin jolloin olisi Tchap-yhteensopiva. Oma ranska ei taivu riittävästi että saisin yksityiskohtaisemmin selvää.
