  1. A circular structure has been excavated and consolidated at the ancient Maya city of Itzamkanac, (now called El Tigre) in Campeche state, by archaeologists from Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). The structure has been identified as being dedicated to the Maya Feathered-Serpent deity, Kukulcan, also known as the wind-god Ehécatl-Quetzalcóatl in the highlands of Mesoamerica. The complex was built in the Early Classic period and is dated to around AD 1100. inah.gob.mx/boletines/descubre #Mesoamerica #Maya #El Tigre #Kukulcan #Quetzalcoatl #INAH
