Last week I highlighted really terrible SARS-CoV2 concentration numbers from the West Point (WSPT) sewage treatment plant's 7 day running average for 8/25, but said, maybe this is a crazy outlier, let's see next week's numbers. Well, they're in, and the updated numbers are quite, quite bad. These calculations of the 7DRA were done on 8/30 and 9/1, and they are by far the worst numbers we've seen in a year (which is as far back as the dataset goes). :( :( :(

WSPT is one of three King County(-ish) sewersheds in this dataset. Hello, The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD WATCH for portions of northwest Washington, including all of King County, that will be in effect Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and heavy snow levels/snowmelt runoff may be possible, resulting in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Residents of flood-prone areas, or who transit these areas, should monitor forecasts, prepare for further Flood Warnings, and prepare to take action should flooding develop.

2 Line Eastside Bike Connector updated their map to include the new train stations opening today! If you’re seeing this on May 10th, you can go to the opening events!

Naturally, we’ve picked up the new version, and both Greater Northshore Bike Connector and MEGAMAP 1.7 – 10 May 2025 – are now available to download.

But this time, I have something to think about.

They've gone and changed their map key on me, and I'm not entirely sure what to do about that.
