Random food post:
First time we saw frozen #Kimbap at the asian market we weren't sure...
But now we pick up a bunch every time we go to the asian market, they're surprisingly good. Sometimes the veggies are a little mushy but not off-puttingly so.
Ditto on these plant-based bulgogi-style rice balls, which are super addictive.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate :blobaww:
No thanksgiving and no turkey here, sadly, but at least we had homemade #Kimbap !

Wspomniałam gdzieś dzisiaj o koreańskim kimbapie i chyba jutro sobie zrobię. Polecanko :)

It was still crazy yummy, if a bit overheated (it had partially thawed on the counter).
Now I need to buy like a dozen of them. Addictive as all get-out.
At least I'm a teensy bit closer of my dream of someday going to eat at an Asian convenience store.
Those places are amazing. Makes our terrifying shriveled pizza slices and geriatric corn dogs at 7-11 here look... inedible, which is basically what they are. ;) -
@FoodieKenobi Always #kimbap on hand at ours. I prefer the burdock root ones.

These microwavable kimbaps have become a complete hit in my area and Trader Joes are constantly sold out. I can confirm they are legit, although they do fall apart. Nothing beats fresh, hand rolled ones though; old Korean ladies roll them as tight as a Cuban cigar and they taste incredible

[SUNG GYUNG] Twice roasted Korean seaweed are durable. We made homemade samgak kimbap. We use plastic wrap to easily shape filled rice balls with less mess. The seaweed is sturdy & doesn't tear or rip when being cut into the desired size. It adds a fresh caught flavor & holds the filled rice balls perfectly. It's not tough to eat.

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] Did you find a good place for recipes/instructions? I really like #kimbap and don't have anywhere nearby that sells them. -
rice, egg, carrot, spinach, avocado, spicy pork wrapped in laver/nori.
(vegetarian option: replace pork with takuan, cucumber, etc.)
