Happened to notice that the latest #elecraft #kh1 firmware includes FT8 support for SOTAmat https://sotamat.com - which now supports the KH1.
This is great timing as I’ve spent some time this evening finally designing the case for my SOTAcat PCB. I have made sure it will fit on the #kh1 as well. It’s a much tighter fit than the #kx2 or #kx3.
Quick render below of the top of the case. Need to figure out the bottom part, particularly connections. May need a tweak or two to the PCB…

Activation of Black Mountain (W6/NC-150) this morning. Only got 8 contacts, maybe I was too early for most chasers.

@tsherrygeo how is the #KH1 antenna attached? Direct bnc? Something specific to th radio?

Activated Alewife Brook State Reserve after work today. Not bad for a 5 watt radio with a 5 foot whip antenna.

Parks on the Air activation of Mystic Lakes State Park in MA this morning.
My QBV antenna is doing a great job for my winter activations.

Last Saturday I completed my first Summits on the Air (SOTA) activation on Mt. Monadnock while hiking with my son's Scout Troop.
