  1. Visiting #Kerteminde #Danmark today and whilst the rest of the fam went to look at fishing gear, I stopped into www.gallerihavn.dk for a cheeky peruse.

    Got about halfway and stopped at this piece and wanted it with all my heart and soul. I did not have the funds for it.

    I believe the artist is Tine Lindvig. They had many other pieces there that were beyond amazing, including one that depicted a toddler and baby in a garden where the toddler was spraying the baby with a garden hose. As a parent to siblings, that one made me actual LOL.

    Some of this artists work also reminded me of some Jeffery Smart images I saw at a surrealist exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia back in the 90s.

    But this woman with a crow.... fuck me. Thats some talent!

    Johnson, one of the artists of the Harlem Renaissance, married #Danish textile artist Holcha Krake (1885-1944) in 1930. They lived in Norway for a while before moving to New York in 1938. As the title indicates, this painting was made in #Kerteminde, #Denmark.

    In the Philadelphia Museum of Art, PA. Accession number 2008-183-10.
